Based on the 12th Alex Cross novel Cross and previously entitled I, Alex Cross, the film sees Patterson's detective meeting his match in the psychotic mob hit man Michael Sullivan, a.k.a. With Cross on his trail, Sullivan decides to make things personal and sends him a deadly message by killing his wife, pushing Cross to breaking point both as a cop and a father. 

Perry and Fox are joined in the cast by Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Jean Reno (Leon), Giancarlo Esposito (Once Upon a Time), Edward Burns (Friends with Kids), Carmen Ejogo (Sparkle) and John C. McGinley (Scrubs).

Actually, I do know what I was looking for. I was looking for movie adaptation that was faithful the book series that inspired it. I was looking for an actor with some depth to portray the main character. I wasn’t looking for a popular franchise to be stripped down and changed so much that it could be any generic ‘cop chases crazy bad guy’ movie.
I’ve been looking forward to Alex Cross since I first heard about it. My interest waned just a little bit when I learned Tyler Perry would have the lead role, but I remained optimistic. Now, all my hopes and dreams lie in ruin.
Psychologist Alex Cross (Tyler Perry) meets his match when he goes against psychotic, mob "hit man", Michael "The Butcher" Sullivan (Matthew Fox). As Cross investigates the hit man's gruesome murders, Sullivan decides to send him a deadly message by killing his wife in cold blood. Enraged, Cross vows to hunt down the killer, if it's the last thing he does. However, Sullivan is a mastermind and continues to evade Cross while pushing him to an ethical breaking point as a cop and father. The story starts at Lincoln’s beginnings with young Abe witnessing the death of his mother by the local town vampire (one of many things the history books got wrong). Vowing vengeance, he grows up and becomes grasshopper to vampire hunter Henry Sturgess (Dominic Cooper), who sends him off into the night as an assassin of the undead. His ultimate target is plantation owner Adam (Rufus Sewell), leader of the vampires who engages in an epic battle with the North and even sends vampires to fight in Gettysburg.

Which makes this next statement hilarious but true: The film’s biggest surprise is its historical accuracy. Graham-Smith’s screenplay gives us a compelling and largely true account of Lincoln’s life from his courtship of Mary Todd to the Emancipation Proclamation; he just fills in the blanks with Honest Abe throwing down with vampire slavers. It’s totally absurd but always believable, largely due to Benjamin Walker’s Lincoln, who gives the kind of earnest performance that sells every moment – whether he’s swinging an axe or addressing Congress. Everyone in the cast and crew is clearly giving it their all, and there’s so much attention to detail, this could almost pass itself off as a straight Lincoln biopic if it weren’t for all the martial arts and decapitated heads.

I was completely hooked at the beginning of Brave, which sets up an inviting mythology that seems more than enough to sustain the brisk runtime. The depiction of the Scottish highlands is predictably gorgeous, and the character designs are lovely. Merida’s untameable bright red hair is a thing of beauty, a character unto its own. This was widely hyped as Pixar’s first movie that centers on a female protagonist, and Merida does not disappoint. As voiced by Kelly Macdonald, she is feisty and clever.  traditional plot and tone that aren’t unique to Pixar. Unfortunately, Brave never reaches the heights of WALL-E and stumbles more clumsily into the weaker second half of the movie. Peter Parker has it glued to his ear for much of the movie, even when he’s Spider-Man. Either that, or he’s playing games on it. It’s in those moments, when he’s lounging on a giant web passing time with a puzzle app, or crouched on a parapet thousands of feet above Manhattan, being told by Aunt May to remember to buy some eggs on the way home, that the 21st century big-screen Spidey resonates in harmony with the Spidey that Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created 50 years ago. Even when he’s hunting down villains, he’s still just a teenager, living in the real world, dealing with everyday problems, and the film captures that enduring Spidey spirit perfectly.

It just as rapidly quashes any doubts about the wisdom of telling the Spider-Man origin story again. This is no mere remake. Neither is it quite the “untold story” the pre-publicity promised. It is – to reclaim a phrase that’s far too overused these days, but is perfectly apt here – a reimagining. Admittedly, this could also be interpreted as “trampling all over canon”, but with the comics industry rebooting its universes in “52 Ultimate” ways (or whatever) with alarming regularity, you can hardly criticise it for that.

But where Webb really excels is in the character moments. He directs the romance with charm; he directs the scenes with Parker learning about his powers with a perfect mix of humour and paranoia; he directs cheesy moments (and there are a couple) with such brazen gusto that you feel like cheering.

Which, sadly, is where the film goes awry. The Amazing Spider-Man has a major flaw that also hampered the first Raimi Spidey film – its villain. Rhys Ifans is fine as Curt Connors, and does his best as The Lizard, but there‘s nothing special about him as an opponent. He’s the well-meaning scientist who overreaches himself, and becomes a ranting supervillain. His evil plot is a one-line pitch that’s been used by countless supervillains before and leads to a big climax that, while exciting, has the whiff of over-familiarity.

He’s not even a particularly well-visualised villain, blandly designed and often falling foul of some of the film’s less convincing CG. It’s a real shame that with so much invention going into the rest of this movie makeover the villain feels so off-the-shelf.

But as the film to kickstart the franchise afresh, The Amazing Spider-Man more than succeeds. It may not have the non-stop action and spectacle of Avengers Assemble, but it does have characters you can fall in love with, and bags of charm. You feel the series is in safe hands with Webb, Garfield and Stone. And in an extra scene in the end credits, it also delivers an enticing cliffhanger that should definitely leave you wanting more…Dave Golder

Martin Sheen and Sally Field play Parker's well-meaning uncle and aunt, who do their best to keep him from going off the rails.

Garfield was keen to follow their guidance -- as actors and mentors.

"They're incredible, they're just fine actors, and people who live well and live purely and with love, and that's very inspiring `cause you know it's rare that you find someone who's not only a fantastic actor but a fantastically beautiful person," Garfield says, noting he took "more life advice than acting advice" from them.

I think we can all agree that giant metal, bi-pedal war machines are pretty badass. I also think that many of you can agree that you would love to drive one of these walking tanks. Lumbering across the battlefield, shaking the earth and bowels of the enemy alike, these huge mechas strike imposing figures against the organic landscape. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a game that puts your but in the seat of one of these iron beasts. But are you ready to join up and enlist for the heavy armored unit? Capcom and From Software sure hope you are and have revived an odd little game from several years ago. Johann Urb is cast as Leon S. Kennedy and Kevin Durand is confirmed to appear in the film as Barry Burton.The character Ada Wong will be played by Li Bingbing.Ali Larter (Claire Redfield), Wentworth Miller (Chris Redfield) and Spencer Locke (K-Mart) will not appear in the film and their absence will be explained by their characters being captured by Umbrella.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson stated in an interview that their original plan was to produce Retribution and a sixth installment back-to-back, however Anderson later decided to focus on just the fifth film. In the same interview, Anderson stated that if Retribution does well financially, then a sixth film would be developed, and it will be the finale of the series.[32] Milla Jovovich reveal at a Q & A in New York that she's planning to star in a sixth and final installment of the franchise which will close out the series' storyline. Her husband Anderson pitched her the idea while vacationing following wrapping the fifth film and that the series would most likely continue past a sixth film, just not with her as the star.

Aside from the English produced live-action film series, Capcom have also produced two CGI films which are tied to the original game series, the first of which uses the original setting of Raccoon City, but none of the original characters are present. Degeneration is Capcom's first full-length feature film taking place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and follows Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.A sequel, titled Resident Evil: Damnation, is currently in development.

From What I Remember is about a bunch of high school students who get stranded in Mexico and try and make it back home in time for graduation. The Hyperion title will be adapted by Jeff Roda (he wrote the upcoming "Glee" type movie Pitch Perfect).
